I associate this accent with Terry Pratchett, such as the Wyrd Sisters. That's a mighty fine association.

The complete inappropriateness of this test is made manifest by the fact that while I (a native UK born , UK educated, and UK PhD qualified graduate) COMPLETLY understood the excessively long spoken text, I found myself all-too-often unable to answer the (often) bizarrely formulated questions in the expected manner. If this is truly representative of the B1 test, then the B1 test urgently needs to be completely revised/reformulated for the modern REAL WORLD (!) ....As indeed iXNomad and others indicated in their comments, some 3+ years ago.

I'm American and have quite the Texas accent, so I understand folks not understanding what I'm saying 🤣 I love all of the variations of the British accented English. The only problem I've ever had understanding, was on a trip to Scotland. I landed in Glasgow and couldn't understand anything anyone said. It didn't help that the bus I needed just stopped coming around, for unknown reasons. I struggled to get to where I needed to go 🤣

I've learned new words which is through the roof like we said the water bills are going through the roof , luke warm this word just to describe the liquids if are not warm nor cold are between , sun bathing and the last one I forget it 🙈🙂
